This session will be a fun and informative start to the programme. After the overall introduction to the programme we will explore the Tower of London and learn about some of the most famous parts of British history including the monarchy, religion and how British culture has become what it is today.

  • Battle of Hastings and William the Conqueror 
  • Magna Carta and its influence on our democracy today.
  • The War of the Roses and Henry VIII’s break from the Catholic Church.
  • Oliver Cromwell and the civil war.
  • The great Monarchs in the British history: Richard the Lionheart, Elizabeth I, Henry VIII, Queen Victoria.
  • Battle of Trafalgar and Lord Nelson
  • Battle of Waterloo and Duke of Wellington 
  • Industrial Revolution and its impact on the Great British Empire along with the modern Britain we live in today.
