Alp Mehmet MVO

This presentation from Alp Mehmet, of Migration Watch UK, examined the changing immigration policies of the UK government, specifically covering non-EU economic and student immigration, the two areas in which policy has been revised. The speaker also touched on asylum and Turkey's EU aspirations in relation to migration. He explained why Migration Watch UK believes in controlled immigration, which it sees as essential for the successful integration of new arrivals into UK society and why unlimited immigration will potentially harm the interests of both receiving and source countries. Alp Mehmet also talked on managing immigration, and does not mean an end to immigration, something Migration Watch UK has never advocated.
