During the 2013-2014 academic year, London Centre for Social Studies is proud to organize and introduce the new season of Professional Development Workshop (PDW) series for PhD and graduate students of all levels. The PDW series will be open to graduate students or researchers from all universities, disciplines and departments in and around London (registration will be on a first come first served basis).

The goal of these workshops will be to provide graduate students the vision, the knowledge, and relevant resources to develop professional and practical skills on topics such as academic writing, publishing, conducting research, thesis writing, career management, teaching, and more.

As you will remember from previous years, these monthly workshops are always organized on Sunday mornings (what better way to spice up your Sunday morning with inspiration, ideas, insights, and imagination for your academic career!) We start with a Turkish-style light breakfast at 10.00 am (with some smiles, some networking, some breakfast items/pastries and a lot of Turkish tea:) We continue with the workshop followed by a brief Q&A session and interaction.

Please register early for the workshops to guarantee your space, as the capacity will be limited and the spaces are filled quickly.
