Dr Egle Dagilyte

Dr Egle Dagilyte is a Senior Lecturer in Law at Bucks New University. She holds a PhD in European Law (King’s College London), a Masters in International and Comparative Law (Uppsala University, Sweden) and a Bachelor in Law and Management (Mykolas Romeris University, Lithuania). Prior to Bucks, Egle taught law at King’s College London and at the University of Greenwich.

Egle’s academic interests lie in the area of human rights, European Union (EU) constitutional and internal market law, in particular the relationship between the EU and Member States, EU citizenship, free movement of persons and migration. Her doctorate research, which was supported by the FfWG grant, looked at how solidarity, as a fundamental value of the EU, influenced the balance between social rights and fundamental economic freedoms in the internal market.
