
Dr Mina Toksoz
Head of Country Risk, Standard Bank London
Dr. Mina Toksoz has been working as Head of Country Risk at Standard Bank London since September 2001. She has been in investment banking for the past ten years including as Equity Strategist for Emerging Europe, Middle East and Africa at ABN Amro London. Prior to this Mina worked for The Economist Group’s, Economist Intelligence Unit variously as Middle East editor, director of EIU’s Country Risk Service, and Regional Director for Europe. She has published on Turkey, Lebanon, EU-Middle East relations, GCC, Russia, Eastern Europe and the Caucasus. Mina did her DPhil in Economics at Sussex University, BA in Economics at Bosphorus University, and more recently the Harvard University Executive Programme on Infrastructure in a Market Economy.
She has published on emerging market trends, Turkey, Lebanon, EU-Middle East relations, and has a forthcoming book, The Economist Guide to Country Risk, to be published by Profile Books in 2014.
