Jenny Westerstrand is a researcher in the Department of Law and Centre for Gender Studies, Uppsala University, Sweden.  She wrote her thesis in Public International Law, dealing with prostitution and human trafficking in international law, and the conflicting feminist discourses that surrounds the question on how to conceptualize those phenomenon. Jenny was coordinator of the first national prevalence study on violence against women, Capture Queen (Lundgren mfl. 2001), and is currently working on a project about sexual violence within contexts of honour related violence. She also teaches at Centre for Gender studies, Uppsala University and the Centre for Law and Society, Umeå University, Sweden.
