Mr Zhang Jiming

Minister Counsellor, Chinese Embassy in the UK

Mr Zhang Jiming, Minister Counsellor, Chinese Embassy in the UK. He joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1991 and served as Division Director of the Department of European Affairs and Deputy Director General of the General Office, MFA. He held overseas diplomatic postings successively at the Chinese Embassies in Uganda, UK and the Chinese Mission to the European Union. He assumed the position as Minister Counsellor of Chinese Embassy in the UK in December 2013. He holds a Master’s Degree in International Relations, and he was a visiting scholar at Hoover Institution in 2007.
