Ozdemir Ahmet

Former Project Coordinator at LCSS – Public Policy Platform Research Officer/Business Development Assistant – Reed in Partnership

Ozdemir is one of our most dedicated colleagues. He started at LCSS as a full time project coordinator in September 2012 and ended working for us on 30 May, 2015.

His tasks involved overseeing various projects, including the coordination of academic roundtable discussions with expert names on topical issues, such as the UK’s position on the EU, the UK benefits system, and the Scottish referendum, as well as administering academic conferences, social and community research projects, and fundraising applications. Ozdemir completed the majority of his projects and activities within the scope of the Public Policy Platform.

Ozdemir also carried out general administrative tasks within the organisation. He has a wide range of academic/research interests within the social sciences, including the welfare state, the third sector, poverty and inequality, social history, international development, and international relations, as well as cultural studies. Ozdemir has previous experience working within the voluntary sector, having interned at a mental health charity. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Sociology from South Bank University before obtaining his MA in European Public Policy from King’s College London, triggering his broad research interests. Ozdemir is also a keen Arsenal F.C supporter.
