
Prof Keun-Wook Paik

Professor Keun-Wook Paik is a specialist on Northeast Asia’s oil and gas issues, in particular Sino-Russian oil and gas cooperation, China’s natural gas industry, and DPRK’s offshore oil exploration. Dr Paik joined the Oxford Institute for Energy Studies in January 2007 and also is currently Associate Fellow at the Chatham House, Energy, Environment and Development Programme. Professor Keun-Wook Paik is author of Sino-Russian Oil and Gas Cooperation: The Reality and Implications (OUP, 2012), and is adjunct professor at Yonsei University and China Petroleum University (Beijing) respectively. His latest paper is dedicated to Sino-Russian oil and gas cooperation: Entering into an Era of Strategic Partnership? (OIES, April 2015).
